De Cecco n. 3 Tripoline – Duplicate – [#3599]
Tripoline, a long ribbon pasta with one wavy edge, is part of the long, curly, dried pasta family. This type of pasta may have originated in the Campania region.
According to popular tradition, it was erected in Naples in honor of King Victor Emmanuel II.
Due to the special shape, the curled part holds more sauce than the smooth part. One of the characteristics of all curly pasta is that, once cooked, the two surfaces have a different consistency.
Tripoline is excellent for preparing pasta dishes with meat ragùs. Recommended sauces definitely include all sauces with strong, pronounced flavors, such as sauces prepared with game
Cooking time: 12 minutes / al dente: 10 minutes
